‘Pensons Restaurant is Herefordshire’s prized Michelin Star destination, led by head chef Chris Simpson. Having only opened in January 2019 on the beautiful Netherwood Estate on the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border it encapsulates a love and respect for quality, seasonal, local produce.
Owned by the Darnley family, the team spent eighteen months transforming a range of derelict farm-buildings into a fantastic re-imagined space that retains all the heritage of its past combined, with the new and contemporary. The perfect venue for modern and imaginative, yet unpretentious cooking.
Pensons provides the kitchen with the opportunity to farm, forage and grow many of the ingredients from the Estate, as well as showcasing the amazing produce from the local area, bringing to life an ethos of eating locally, seasonally and sustainably and truly is Estate To Plate.
With its own kitchen garden, bee hives, animals, game and endless foraging opportunities in the woods, they source any increasing amount of produce from the Estate, as well as other carefully selected local suppliers.
