White House at Brinsop
Self-Catering Holiday Lets
White House at Brinsop consists of a group of listed buildings in the beautiful Brinsop valley overlooking the Iron Age hill fort at Credenhill yet only 6 miles from the centre of Hereford. The White House sits in 3 acres of ground which include its very own lake. The Wain House which is attached to the main house is a 2 bedroomed timber framed cottage dating from the 17th century. The Cider Press and Dee’s Cottage are apartments in the stone and timber framed barn where cider was once made. The Cider Press sleeps up to 3 persons in two bedrooms and Dee’s Cottage the downstairs apartment sleeps 2 in one bedroom. The Wain House sleeps 4 and is ideal for family use.
The cottages are centrally heated and the Wain House has a wood-bring stove for those cold winter evenings. They are well equipped with flat screen TV/DVD players, games, books, and a wide selection of maps and DVDs. Egyptian cotton bedding and fluffy towels and toiletries are provided.
White House is surrounded by large and accessible grounds that incorporate lawned areas and a medieval fishpond that extends to nearly an acre. Seats and benches are carefully placed around to take advantage of the views and they make the perfect place to appreciate and enjoy, water, wildlife and the odd glass of wine!
The lanes and footpaths around are great for walking and cycling and Hereford, Hay-on-Wye, the Black Mountains, Leominster, the Black and White villages trail and Ludlow are all within easy reach.
